A missing father, a missing key

Back in Floaroma, a little girl asked me to rescue her father. He had been taken prisoner by Team Galactic. Those guys are becoming annoying. I decided to help. She said he was being held at Valley Windworks, but when I arrived there, another Galactic Grunt was guarding the door. After a short battle, he ran away and locked himself behind the door he was guarding. How am I supposed to get inside now? I think there were some of Team Galactic members in a field north of Floaroma Town, and two more blocking the bridge to Eterna Forest. Maybe one of them would have the key.

Eterna City can wait...

Mych’l stopped me outside the hotel; he said that he was on his way to Eterna City, but that he couldn’t get through Route 207 without a bicycle. I don’t have a bike either, so I thought I might as well head back to Jubilife City. After all, now that I have a badge, I can enter the GTS.

Once I got to the GTS, I registered my location on the Geonet. It’s a really high-tech globe that updates when I trade Pokémon with others, and adds new locations to the map. I decided to see what Pokémon were available so far. I found someone who was looking for a Magikarp; they wanted to trade it for a Bidoof. I hadn’t caught a Bidoof yet, and since Fiŝon was still useless, even at level 10! I attached a postcard purchased from Oreburgh City, and put her in for the trade. After I received the Bidoof, I registered him, and then I put him back in the GTS to see if I could get a Turtwig. Mych’l has a Turtwig, so it would be good to know its strengths and weaknesses in case we have to battle again.

Since I was in town already, I visited the President of the Pokétch Company. He had finished his new app, Memo Pad, which he then installed on my Pokétch. The Memo Pad app can be used to jot down quick notes.

I saw the professor and Dawn outside of the Jubilife TV station. Two very strange men were harassing them. They called themselves Team Galactic and they were trying to steal Professor Rowan’s work. I just couldn’t let that happen. Dawn and I teamed up and battled against the two Galactic Grunts. A man from the TV station saw us battling and he gave me a Fashion case because he thought it was so exciting. I put it in my key items pocket. It contains accessories that will give my Pokémon more appeal. Plus, there is a photo contest at the TV studio.

Once inside the TV studio I battled it with the cameraman, his Pokémon was a very powerful one, but I defeated him in the end. On the second floor I received Piplup mask from a guy who thought my Pokémon were start material. I happily accepted the mask and put it away in the Fashion Case I had received earlier. I took a picture of my Prinplup wearing the Piplup mask, lol. I thought it was great, I don’t think Pingakvo felt the same way. I also played the lotto at the front desk, but I didn’t win anything. Maybe I’ll have better luck next time I try.

Bonvenon Hikozeru!

When I arrived in Floaroma today, I noticed there were flowers everywhere. Not only that, but the place is covered in Berry bushes. The townsfolk explained to me that if I picked a berry, I could then plant that berry in some soft soil, and then it would grow a completely new berry bush. Berries are useful for other things. For instance, at the flower shop, you can trade berries for accessories that your Pokémon can wear for contests, photos, etc. In addition, a kind woman gave me the Sprayduck so that I could water the berry bushes. A second woman gave me an Aspear berry, and she said I could visit her every day for another berry. There was even a third woman who enjoyed plucking berries so much, that she gave me the TM88 Pluck for my Pokémon. I wonder how I could use it.

I decided to check in at the GTS and someone from traded a Chimchar for my Psyduck, que suerte! The Chimchar’s name is Hikozeru. I also took a moment to put Hikozeru onto my belt so I could begin training him right away. Then, I checked in with Professor Rowan’s computer. It said that I’ve spotted 20 Pokémon already, neat! I had better head back to Floaroma and continue searching for new Pokémon. Plus I noticed that Hikozeru had been given an Everstone. This stone prevents the will prevent him from evolving. I think that I will let him keep it, because his level is too low right now, and he won't be evolving anytime soon.

The ravaged road to Floaroma Town

I found a Paralyz Heal near a fence on Route 204, the road that leads north to Floaroma Town, and I placed it in my Medicine Pocket. Then I decided to see if I could catch anything there. There are many ponds; surely, they would have wild Pokémon in them.

Inside a cave, I found a ravaged path, there were many boulders blocking the way. It’s a good thing my Geodude knows Rock smash. I also found antidote and TM39. TM39 contained information on how to train my Pokémon Rock Tomb. When I exited the cave, I was back on Route 204 again. That is where I found an Awakening. It would come in handy if ran into any wild Pokémon that could my Pokémon to sleep. There was also a TM09, which would allow me to teach a Pokémon Bullet Seed.

Excelsior!

I stopped by GTS to check on my trade status, and what luck, there was a Turtwig waiting for me where I had left the Bidoof. Now that I’ve seen Dawn’s Chimchar in action, I had better trade for one of those too. She’s a fairly good trainer, I hope I never have to battle against her. I put a wild Psyduck that I had caught earlier in the GTS.
