The city of joy

Dawn was already in Jubilife City. She said she saw Mych’l at the Pokémon Trainer’s School. I think I should head over there so I can give him his parcel.

I tried to visit the Global Trade Station (GTS), but they would not allow me inside because I had not earned any badges yet. I’m going to have to train even harder if I’m going to win a badge and gain access to the GTS.

I battled School Kid Harrison and School Kid Christine, earning 240 monies for me, and they gave me a Technical Machine (TM). TM10 to be exact, I stored it in my TMs and HMs pocket. TMs contain moves for Pokémon, which you can use to instantly teach a Pokémon a new move. How great it that! Too bad you can only use them once. I had better not waste it.

It turns out that the parcel held two maps, Mych’l didn’t need both of them, so he gave one to me to keep. I stored it in my Key Items pocket.

There was a man giving away free Pokétches, which is short for Pokémon watches. He invented them, and if I found three clowns about the city, I would win a free Pokétch, piece of cake. He also told me that there are new applications that will be available in the future for the Poketch. As of now, it can tell time, has a calculator, a pedometer and a list of my Pokémon, neat!

I met a girl in town who gave me a quick claw. I have heard that this useful, so I gave it Pingakvo to hold onto for me. People in this city sure are nice. Later a man gave me a fishing rod because I thought that old rods are the best. With the Old Rod he gave me, I was able to catch a Magikarp, another water type Pokémon. I have named her Fiŝino, or Lady Fish. She is also my first female Pokémon.

I think that tomorrow I will head off to Oreburgh City for a chance to win my first badge.

Ĝis
