Before leaving Sandgem Town, I stopped by Professor Rowan's lab again. He noticed that my Piplup health was low, and he told me to visit the Pokémon Center where they would heal him free of charge. He also suggested I give him a nickname, which will make the Pokémon happier and strengthen our bond. I decided to call him Pingakvo, short for “water penguin”. I also registered myself as Pokémon trainer on the second floor, and they had me sign the back of my card. I think my signature looks horrible.
My mom was happy that I returned safely home from Sandgem Town. On the way back, Pingakvo evolved two whole levels! He’s now a level seven Piplup. I wonder what will happen if he keeps evolving. I had explained to my mother what happened at the professor’s lab, and although she seemed sad, she agreed that I should keep my promise to Professor Rowan. I would have to wait until tomorrow, because my mom wants to spend one more night with me before I head off on my adventure.
I’m almost so excited that it’s going to be very hard getting to sleep tonight!
